2. Visualization
This goes hand in hand with critical thinking. Being able to visualize how an application should work based on the given requirements helps in predicting possible issues early. It’s like having a mental map of the system before even testing it.
3. Continuous Learning
Every product is unique, and the more you understand it, the better you can test it. Don’t just stick to the given requirements—ask questions, explore, and gather insights from Product Owners (POs) or Business Analysts (BAs). The more you know, the more effective your testing will be.
4. Effective Communication
You don’t need to be overly talkative, but clear and concise communication is important. Whether you're reporting bugs or discussing issues with the team, being professional and respectful helps create a better work environment.
5. Confidence to Ask Questions
It’s completely okay to ask questions! If something isn’t clear, don’t hesitate to check with the PO or relevant stakeholders. Guessing can lead to misunderstandings, so clarifying things upfront is always a good approach.
